Job Description

Key Qualifications:
Possession of an active Tennessee Special Education teaching license/certification with all required endorsements. Demonstrated expertise developing and implementing IEPs, including goal-setting, progress monitoring, and compliance with regulatory guidelines. Familiarity with both inclusion and pull-out instructional models, ensuring that students receive the appropriate support and accommodations. Strong record of collaborating with general education teachers to foster a cohesive, inclusive classroom environment. Skilled in using data to drive instruction and track progress effectively. Experience consulting and communicating regularly with families to enhance student outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and interventions in accordance with IEP goals. Conduct ongoing assessments and utilize data to inform instructional decisions and document student progress. Coordinate and participate in IEP meetings, maintaining all documentation required for compliance. Work closely with classroom teachers to adapt curriculum and implement best practices for inclusion. Maintain regular communication with families, providing updates and supporting student growth. Foster a positive, nurturing classroom environment conducive to learning for all students.
