This full-time, contract role offers a rewarding opportunity to serve diverse student populations throughout the district, with placements determined by your certification areas and unique strengths. What you'll bring: Active Texas Teaching Certification required Must hold a valid Special Education EC-12 certificate At least one additional certification: either EC-6 Core Subjects, 4-8 Generalist, or a 9-12 content area Experience in inclusive, resource, or self-contained classrooms is highly valued Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families Your core responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction, accommodations, and modifications according to IEPs Develop and implement specialized lesson plans, addressing students' academic and behavioral needs Collect data, track progress, and participate in ARD/IEP meetings Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment for all students Maintain regular communication with staff, families, and service providers Support students across a range of disability categories and grade levels The position spans the entire school year, with a commitment of 40 hours per week.
