Key Qualifications:

Active Special Education license fitting EC-6th grade content requirements Experience working with moderate to severe student populations, preferably in life skills or similar settings Ability to design and deliver individualized instruction Skilled in managing significant behaviors and implementing effective behavior support plans Comfortable collaborating with paraprofessionals, therapists, and related service providers

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide individualized special education services aligned with IEP goals for 8-10 elementary-aged students Implement life skills curriculum and adaptive behavior strategies Collaborate closely with two classroom paraprofessionals and RBT to support student engagement and positive behavior Maintain thorough documentation, progress monitoring, and communication with families and multidisciplinary team members Establish a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment responsive to a range of abilities and behavioral challenges Participate in IEP meetings, team planning, and professional development as needed This assignment begins as soon as the ideal candidate is available and continues through late May of 2027, offering reliable hours and the unique reward of fostering student growth over multiple years.
