Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Take the next step in your career as a Special Education Teacher supporting students at the elementary and intermediate levels in an engaging, collaborative school setting near Boyd, TX. Two full-time contract openings are available, offering the opportunity to make a difference for students with behavioral and life skills needs, including the potential for extended assignments through the end of the school year. What you'll bring: Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience delivering behavioral support and/or life skills instruction Ability to adapt lesson plans to meet individual student needs Skill in working with small caseloads (4-5 students), fostering an encouraging classroom environment Experience in a school-based or similar educational setting preferred Flexibility to work in both elementary and intermediate grade levels is highly desirable Your responsibilities will include: Providing specialized instruction to students in K-2 or 3rd-5th grade, depending on assignment Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success Maintaining detailed records in compliance with school and district policies Supporting students with behavioral needs and/or life skills, adapting strategies as necessary For candidates open to multiple roles, the opportunity to transition from a behavioral-focused caseload to a high school life skills program (Role C) in November, with the possibility of an assignment through the end of the school year This is a rewarding contract position perfect for passionate Special Education teachers ready to make an immediate impact.
