9656381-76023 Job Description An exciting contract opportunity is available for experienced Special Education Teachers ready to support students in a dynamic school environment. Two full-time openings are available, serving students with life skills needsone at the elementary level (K-2nd grade), and one at the high school level (HS Life Skills). Candidates with the flexibility to fulfill both roles, covering consecutive maternity/sick leaves, are strongly encouraged to apply. The assignment begins immediately, with the high school position starting in November and potentially lasting through the end of the school year.

Key Qualifications:

Valid state certification as a Special Education Teacher Demonstrated experience in life skills or similar special education settings, especially with adaptive curriculum and individualized support Ability to confidently manage small caseloads (4 K-2 students; 5 HS students) Flexibility to transition between assignments as needed Strong collaboration skills to partner with teachers, staff, and families Commitment to inclusive practices and positive behavioral supports

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each students needs Foster academic, social, and developmental growth within a life skills classroom Utilize adaptive teaching strategies to support students unique learning styles Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and administrators Maintain progress documentation and participate in IEP meetings Ensure a positive and safe learning environment for all students
