A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Department Corporate Services Position Type Non-Exempt Employment Status Part-Time Salary $25.00 per hour Open Date 11/12/2025 Close Date Open Until Filled No Position Summary Information Job Description Summary Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in Micro-Learning instruction. Design, develop and facilitate short, bite-sized, traditional and non-traditional courses, such as online, video-based, playlists, gamification, chat sessions, virtual and much more, in a variety of times and locations in response to the needs of business and industry. Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction by incorporating technologies into learning and development initiatives. Leverage technology processes and platforms administered by Corporate Services Department. Develop and utilize a variety of learning techniques and methods to differing audiences. Maintain appropriate professional relationships with clients, employees, colleagues and the community. Review, evaluate, recommend, and effectively use corporate training materials. Maintain a classroom environment that promotes and maximizes learning. Maintain daily attendance rosters. Submit final hard copies of daily attendance rosters and other training resources to Corporate Services Department. Minimum Qualifications Associate's Degree
  • OR•Certifications in related field and High School Diploma.
Five (5) years related work experience. Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to develop and plan micro course instruction. Ability to utilize a variety of training techniques and methods to accommodate diverse learning styles of employees. Ability to utilize instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources, Smart-Interactive TV and other appropriate media in instruction. Knowledgeable in corporate micro learning training. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in related field. Special Instructions to Applicants This is a security-sensitive position.
