Weekdays, school hours only — no nights, no weekends Who We Are It's a Sensory World! (ISW) is a Cognia-accredited private nonprofit Academy in the Dallas-Fort Worth area serving children and young adults with sensory, communication, and developmental differences. Our nine classrooms run on the DIRFloortime® model, a relationship-based, neurodiversity-affirming approach, where connection comes first and every student is met where they are developmentally. We are a school where kids are genuinely known, and where the adults who show up for them matter enormously. The Role Our students count on familiar rhythms and steady relationships and a great substitute keeps both intact when their teacher is away. As an ISW Substitute Teacher, you'll step into classrooms across our program to keep our students' days safe, supportive, and consistent. You'll never be dropped in without support: lesson plans, routines, classroom assistants, and therapists are all in place. Your job is presence, patience, and follow-through. What you'll do: Maintain a warm classroom environment rooted in relationship-based, sensory-informed practices Follow the lesson plans, routines, and individualized supports established by the classroom teacher Support students' communication, regulation, and engagement throughout the day Collaborate with classroom assistants, therapists, and support staff Leave clear notes for the returning teacher on the day's activities Coordinate your availability with our program coordinators — you choose the days you're available

What We're Looking For Required:

Experience working with children (classroom, childcare, therapy, or camp settings) Patience, warmth, and calm under pressure — our students' regulation starts with yours

Reliability:
