Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Exciting contract opportunities are now available for dedicated Special Education Teachers who are passionate about supporting student growth and facilitating positive learning environments. This onsite position begins as soon as possible and runs through May 2027, offering you the chance to make a lasting impact within a dynamic school community near Denton, TX.
Open positions include:

Math Resource Teacher:
Requires both Special Education Certification and Mathematics Certification. 1
Academic Vocational Life Skills Teacher:
Requires Special Education Certification plus Core Content Certification (EC-6 considered). Both roles are housed at a vibrant high school, offering you the chance to collaborate with other committed professionals and create meaningful change. Your knowledge and ability to connect and support diverse learners will be central to your students' success.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Texas Special Education Certification For Math Resource:
Texas Mathematics Certification For Academic Vocational Life Skills:
Core Content Certification (EC-6 eligible) Proven experience as a Special Education Teacher, with expertise relevant to your applying area Strong skills in differentiating instruction, classroom management, and fostering student engagement Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instructional support in resource or life skills settings Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with general education staff, support personnel, and families to promote student success Monitor academic progress, adjust instruction, and maintain accurate documentation Create a positive, inclusive, and adaptive classroom environment Join a fulfilling full-time contract role where your skills will be valued and your contributions will help shape student futures.
