Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. Your leadership will ensure that each student receives personalized support tailored to their unique needs, especially those with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorders. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with families, specialists, and fellow educators to create an inclusive and engaging learning experience for all children. Duties Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating educational technology and instructional modifications to meet diverse learning needs. Provide direct instruction in literacy, math, communication skills, and behavioral health strategies, utilizing evidence-based methods such as behavioral therapy and speech therapy techniques. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies tailored for students with special needs and disabilities. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, and other professionals to develop and execute individualized education programs (IEPs) that support each child's growth. Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress using standardized testing and formative evaluations; adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Maintain clear and consistent communication with parents and guardians regarding student development, IEP goals, and classroom activities through regular updates and meetings. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or teaching aides, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on high-quality education delivery. Skills Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or elementary school environments. Strong knowledge of special education law, IEP development, instructional modifications, and behavior management techniques for students with disabilities. Expertise in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and related conditions. Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher interactions and interdisciplinary collaboration. Proficiency in curriculum development across literacy education, math instruction, communication skills, and behavioral health strategies. Familiarity with educational technology integration to enhance learning experiences. Ability to manage classroom dynamics effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that supports diverse learners' needs. Experience mentoring other educators or teaching staff within private or specialized school settings such as Montessori or preschool programs. Pay:
