Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Texas Special Education Teaching Certification required EC-12th grade certification and General Education content certification (such as Generalist EC-6th) Previous experience with elementary-aged children in special education, particularly within self-contained or behavioral support classrooms, is highly desirable Strong classroom management abilities and familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and families Deep commitment to fostering inclusive, positive learning environments

Responsibilities:

Design and implement individualized instruction to support students academic, social, and emotional growth Develop and monitor IEPs, tracking student progress and adjusting strategies as needed Foster a safe, nurturing classroom atmosphere tailored to students with intense behavioral and learning challenges Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support each childs holistic development Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and school initiatives aimed at student success
