This full-time, itinerant opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) seeking a hands-on role at multiple campuses. Starting July 30, 2026, and continuing through the end of May 2027, youll collaborate with students, staff, and families across diverse settings to foster independence and success.

Key Experience and Credentials:

Current Texas TSVI certification or eligibility required Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired preferred Comfortable working with elementary, middle, and high school students (ages and needs will vary) Familiarity with developing and adapting curriculum for visually impaired learners Strong communication and organizational skills to manage a fluid caseload and travel between campuses Ability to support homebound students as needed

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to a caseload of 12-15 students, including at least 3 homebound learners Travel between approximately 6 school sites to support diverse student needs throughout the week Collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and related service providers to implement IEPs Evaluate students functional vision and adapt materials/technology as appropriate Serve as an advocate and resource for students, ensuring access and equity in the school community Enjoy a dynamic contract position with structured hours37.5 per week, 7.5 hours each day.
