Key Qualifications & Experience:

Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Deaf / Hard of Hearing. Previous experience working 1:1 or in small groups with students who are deaf or hard of hearing. Strong skills in various communication modes, including American Sign Language (ASL). Ability to tailor instructional strategies to individual student needs. Genuine passion for fostering independence and confidence in students with hearing differences. Availability for a contract running two to three weeks on weekdays, Monday through Friday, 4 hours per day.

Role Responsibilities:

Provide direct, individualized educational support to one student who is deaf. Adapt lesson plans, resources, and activities to the students learning style. Facilitate communication between the student and teachers, peers, and staff as needed. Work collaboratively with school personnel to ensure an inclusive, supportive environment. Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to maximize learning outcomes. Maintain accurate, confidential records of sessions and student achievements.
