Make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time, onsite contract position supporting students in a self-contained classroom setting. Youll collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to provide individualized instruction for a diverse caseload of 12 students, including those with autism, sensory processing needs, social/emotional disorders, varying communication abilities (nonverbal, AAC users), and both high and low functioning skill levels. Qualifications & Experience:

Current Texas Special Education Teacher certification (TX SPED License) required Experience working in self-contained special education classrooms, especially with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing differences, and students who are nonverbal or use AAC devices strongly preferred Knowledge of strategies for managing social/emotional disturbances and behavioral challenges Comfortable assisting with personal care needs, including toileting Strong collaborative and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students strengths and challenges Foster sensory-friendly, engaging classroom environments that support communication, socialization, and emotional development Adapt curriculum and instructional techniques to meet a broad range of abilities and learning styles Collaborate with related service staff, families, and administrators to coordinate comprehensive support Maintain accurate records and monitor student progress toward academic and developmental goals
