Desired Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Previous experience teaching or supporting students with visual impairments is highly preferred Familiarity with Braille instruction, adaptive technology, and accessible learning strategies Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments Strong organizational skills and self-motivation
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments, tailored to individual needs Assess student strengths and challenges to inform instructional approaches Collaborate with general and special education staff, families, and other professionals Recommend and facilitate the use of assistive technology and accessible materials Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of IEPs Serve as an advocate for visually impaired students within the school community Maintain accurate progress records and documentation This position is ready for an immediate start and provides a part-time schedule to fit your lifestyle.
