In this vital role, you will work 30-35 hours per week with a caseload of 29 students in grades EC-12, providing specialized instruction and advocacy for Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) learners across the district. Your expertise will shape communication access and educational achievement for students of all ages.

Key Qualifications:

Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing is required. Experience working with EC-12 students in a school or district setting. Proficiency in American Sign Language is highly preferred. Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Passion for supporting students' academic, language, and social-emotional growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction and support services to DHH students in individual and small group settings. Adapt and modify instructional materials to meet various learning needs. Foster partnerships with general education teachers, families, and related service providers. Provide consultation and training for staff on best practices in DHH education.
