This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact as a Special Education Teacher and Dyslexia Case Manager, serving grades EC-6 in self-contained and life skills settings. Immediate need spans through late May 2027, providing stability and the ability to build valuable relationships with students and staff.

Responsibilities:

Deliver instruction and adapt curriculum for EC-6th grade students in self-contained and life skills special education classrooms. Serve as a generalist and special education teacher, addressing diverse learning needs and creating inclusive, supportive environments. Manage caseload and documentation for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). For the dyslexia case management role, provide targeted reading interventions across two elementary campuses, employing evidence-based strategies to support literacy skill development. Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to promote student success and progress. Monitor, assess, and report student growth, modifying interventions as needed. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification in Special Education (all levels) for Texas, with EC-6 endorsement. Experience working in both generalist and specialized SPED environments. Extensive knowledge of IEP implementation and life skills programming. Demonstrated expertise in reading intervention and dyslexia strategies. Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
