Qualifications:
Valid state certification as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired. Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with visual impairments. Familiarity with Braille instruction, assistive technology, and adaptive materials. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams. Ability to adapt lessons and materials for a range of visual abilities and learning styles.
Responsibilities:
Assess student needs and design instructional strategies tailored to their abilities and goals. Provide direct instruction in Braille literacy, adaptive technology, orientation and mobility skills, and other curriculum areas as needed. Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and family members to support student learning and access.
