Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is open for an enthusiastic Special Education Teacher eager to make a difference in a resource inclusion classroom setting. This on-site, contract position begins as soon as possible and runs through the end of the current school year. Based near Olton, this role is located in the Plainview area, serving students who benefit from skilled instruction and compassionate guidance.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Previous experience or training in resource or inclusion classroom environments Knowledge of instructional strategies for individualized education programs (IEPs) Strong collaboration skills with staff, families, and related service providers Ability to manage classroom behaviors and implement interventions as needed Committed to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to students in the resource inclusion classroom Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and instruction to meet students' unique needs Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal requirements Monitor student progress, collect data, and make necessary instructional adjustments Participate actively in meetings, including IEP and parent-teacher conferences Provide guidance and support to paraprofessionals working in the classroom Foster a supportive environment that encourages student growth and independence This contract position offers the ability to work within a welcoming school community that values the expertise and dedication of special education professionals.
