Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding educational setting for the 2026-2027 school year as a dedicated Special Education Teacher near Plano, TX. This contract opportunity is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM (37.5 hours per week) and offers the chance to make a meaningful impact by providing individualized instruction and support to students with special education needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

Active Texas Special Education teaching license required Special Education teaching experience preferred Strong communication and classroom management skills Ability to develop and implement individualized instruction Commitment to supporting students' academic, behavioral, and functional growth

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with special education needs Implement IEP goals and appropriate instructional strategies Monitor student progress and communicate with families and school staff Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers Foster a supportive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
