No Job Summary The Director of Teacher Residency is responsible for coordinating and supporting the yearlong teacher residency program, including tracking residency placements, overseeing site coordinators, and communicating key deadlines, program requirements, and expectations. The role prepares and delivers orientations, trainings, governance meetings, and information sessions for principals, site coordinators, residents, and district partners, while also facilitating regular check-ins and campus visits to ensure program quality and participant success. Additional responsibilities include attending and coordinating program events, managing residency related surveys, data, and records; collecting, maintaining and analyzing program data to monitor progress, inform decisions, and support continuous improvement efforts. The residency coordinator also supports program evaluation activities, including walkthroughs, observation cycles, and outcome analyses, while collaborating with faculty through meetings to ensure effective program delivery and strong resident experiences. Essential Duties Coordinate and support the implementation of the yearlong teacher residency program across partner school districts. Track and monitor residency placements, resident progress, and program participation to ensure successful completion of residency requirements. Oversee and support site coordinators, serving as the primary point of contact for residency-related questions and program implementation. Communicate residency program requirements, deadlines, expectations, and updates to residents, site coordinators, host teachers, principals, faculty, and district partners. Plan, coordinate, and facilitate orientations, trainings, governance meetings, information sessions, and other residency-related meetings for stakeholders. Conduct regular campus visits and check-ins with residents, site coordinators, and district partners to monitor program quality and participant success. Coordinate residency events and activities, including onboarding sessions, recognition events, and partner meetings. Collect, maintain, and analyze residency program data to monitor progress, evaluate outcomes, support reporting requirements, and inform decision-making. Administer residency-related surveys and maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement efforts. Support program evaluation activities, including walkthroughs, observation cycles, resident performance reviews, and outcome analyses. Collaborate with faculty and district partners to ensure effective program implementation and positive residency experiences. Maintain strong partnerships with school districts and community stakeholders to support residency program growth and sustainability. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge Teacher residency models, educator preparation programs, clinical experiences, and certification requirements. School district operations, K-12 educational systems, and partnership development. Project coordination, program management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement practices. Data collection, data management, reporting processes, and program evaluation methodologies. Skills Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with residents, faculty, district personnel, and community partners. Written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication. Organization, attention to detail, and management of multiple priorities. Data analysis and interpretation to support decision-making and assess program outcomes. Planning and facilitating meetings, trainings, orientations, and professional learning opportunities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, database systems, and data tracking tools. Work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment. Establish and maintain productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Adapt to changing priorities while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy. Minimum Qualifications An earned bachelor's degree in education or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Texas Teacher Certification Preferred Qualifications Experience (minimum, 5 years) teaching EC-12 Possess a working knowledge of Texas Administrative Code and agencies that govern Texas teacher preparation (THECB & TEA). Texas Principal Certification Physical Requirements Will visit partner districts and campuses.
