Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Experience working with EC-12 learners Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) highly preferred Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet individual student needs Commitment to promoting student advocacy, empowerment, and academic growth

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with hearing loss Provide direct and consultative services to a caseload of 29 students district-wide Use ASL and other communication methods to deliver tailored instruction Partner with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student goals Conduct assessments and maintain detailed documentation on student progress Advocate for accommodations and accessible resources within school settings Encourage positive self-identity and communication among students This position offers a competitive pay range of $42-50/hr, reflecting your expertise and dedication in serving this vital student population.
