Approximately 80% of our student body receives Special Education services. Our classrooms are a hybrid of mainstream and resource models found at typical schools. Teachers at Spectrum Academy are required to have an IEP caseload and work with students who may or may not be receiving Special Education services. Essential Functions 1. Implement the assigned program of study. 2. Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning. 3. Utilize instructional management systems that increase student learning and maximizes time on task. 4. Develop and implement Individual Education Programs (IEP's) in accordance with school policy. 5. Monitor student progress towards achieving instructional objectives and goals on the IEPs. 6. Communicate effectively within the educational community and with parents on a regular basis. 7. Meet professional responsibilities. 8. Maintain and upgrade professional skills. 9. Maintain professional work habits. 10. Promote and maintain positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships. 11. Adhere to the teacher code of conduct. 12. Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Principal and the Academic Director. Qualifications 1. Current Utah State Educator's License 2. Certification in Mild/Moderate Special Education or willingness to get appropriate certification within reasonable timeframe. Preferences 1. Experience teaching students on the Autism Spectrum. Reports To Secondary School Administration Salary Range Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Compensation :

starting at $50,216.00•This position is also eligible for an additional $10, 660.50 in educator salary adjustment pay. As of August 5, 2026, you must receive a satisfactory or higher job performance rating evaluation and have a valid, current state license per Utah Code 53F-2-405 to receive these funds. The funds will start to be paid out on August 14, 2026, and will continue to be paid through the July 30, 2027 paycheck as long as you remain an active employee at Spectrum Academy.
