7204180-23005 Job Description Make a difference this academic year by guiding and supporting middle school students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role starting August 19 and concluding May 30. This opportunity offers the chance to work directly with a small caseload of six students, all of whom access the general curriculum but require targeted support due to emotional and behavioral challenges affecting their classroom engagement. Youll operate at a single school site, maintaining a flexible schedule tailored to student needs. The consistent weekday hours7.25 each day, Monday through Fridaywill allow you to build meaningful connections and provide focused instruction and intervention.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid teaching certification in Special Education (active or eligible for immediate transfer) Prior experience working with students who present emotional or behavioral challenges is highly valued Demonstrated understanding of adapting general curriculum for differentiated student support Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage with colleagues, students, and families Ability to maintain composure and empathy in a dynamic educational environment Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere

Responsibilities:
