9661494-24450 Job Description A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support high school students for the remainder of the academic year. This position offers both a full-time, in-person role and a part-time virtual role to assist students in alternative placements. The assignment is contract-based through the end of May.

Valid Special Education teaching certification Experience teaching high school students with diverse needs Knowledge of IEP development and implementation Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and support personnel Comfortable with technology for virtual instruction, if applying for the remote role

Key Responsibilities:

Instruct and support a caseload of 21-22 high school students, promoting academic and social growth Develop, update, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and support staff Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and communication Offer differentiated instruction tailored to each students unique strengths and needs For the virtual role: provide instruction and support to students in alternative placements, ensuring their continued engagement and progress For the in-person role: serve on-site for up to 40 hours per week, supporting students within the school environment This contract runs through May 27, offering an impactful way to make a difference in students lives as they finish the school year.
