As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for designing and implementing enriching curriculum activities, fostering positive behavior, and building strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, social-emotional growth, and physical development for two-year-olds. Create a safe, nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and creativity. Manage daily classroom routines including circle time, play-based learning activities, nap schedules, and mealtime supervision. Use effective behavior management strategies to support positive social interactions and emotional regulation among children. Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates. Maintain detailed documentation of each child's development in accordance with child welfare laws and educational standards. Collaborate with team members to plan special events or activities that enhance the learning experience and foster community engagement. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by maintaining cleanliness, conducting first aid as needed, and adhering to mandated reporting laws. Qualifications Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, specifically with toddlers. Strong knowledge of child development principles relevant to two-year-olds. Experience developing curriculum that integrates literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention strategies for young children. Classroom management skills combined with effective behavior management techniques tailored for toddlers. Excellent communication skills to engage parents positively and professionally. Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in childhood development or special education are a plus. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential. Ability to plan engaging lessons using standardized testing insights when appropriate to monitor progress.
