Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

Active Special Education Teacher certification, applicable to elementary (K-2) levels Experience in early childhood or elementary special education classrooms Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and data tracking Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, specialists, and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and positive learning environment Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Design and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to diverse learners Assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed Create and maintain a safe, structured classroom atmosphere conducive to learning Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support each child's unique needs Communicate regularly with families about student goals, progress, and areas for growth Foster student independence, self-advocacy, and social-emotional well-being
