Job Description

Make a lasting impact in the classroom supporting young learners with diverse needs in a rewarding contract opportunity for a certified Special Education Teacher. This role offers the chance to work closely with students ages 3 to 5 on an adaptive curriculum, managing a caseload that emphasizes individualized support and early intervention strategies essential to students growth.
Key Qualifications:
Valid special education teaching license for Virginia, with endorsement in adaptive curriculum ages 3-5 Demonstrated experience modifying and adapting instructional materials for a range of learning needs in early childhood settings Proven ability to collaborate effectively with paraprofessionals, support staff, and families Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills Ability to work comfortably and confidently onsite in a dynamic school environment
Role Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique strengths and areas for growth Create lesson plans aligning with adaptive curriculum standards appropriate for ages 3-5 Deliver engaging instruction that fosters an inclusive, supportive classroom environment Collaborate regularly with related service staff, administrators, and parents to deliver comprehensive educational support Monitor, document, and report on student progress, adjusting strategies to maximize each childs potential Support transitions and interventions that promote student independence and school readiness Uphold compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations for special education With a set Monday-Friday schedule totaling 37.5 hours per week and a start date as soon as possible through June 2027, youll enjoy a consistent, fulfilling role entirely onsite.
