Intensive Needs Special Educator (0.5 FTE, One-Year, 2026-2027) Needed

The Champlain Valley School District (CVSD) is seeking an innovative, energetic and collaborative individual to join our Champlain Valley Union High School (CVU) community and special education team as an Intensive Needs Special Educator. This is a part-time (0.5 FTE), one-year position. We are seeking a professional with demonstrated leadership and instructional skills in the area of inclusive program development for students with low-incidence disabilities. The ideal candidate will be skillful in designing and/or implementing specially designed instruction in math and/or literacy in alignment with IEP goals. Master's degree or equivalent in Special Education or other appropriate discipline plus 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in providing instruction to students with low-incidence disabilities is preferred, but candidates with different backgrounds who may be eligible for licensure are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to applicants who possess an Intensive Special Education (ISE) endorsement.
