Job Description

Support K-4 students as a Special Education Teacher in a contract role designed for dedicated educators passionate about helping young learners thrive. In this position, you'll implement both push-in and pull-out services, working closely with general education teachers to create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Your expertise will help shape individualized instruction plans, ensuring students receive the targeted support they need to reach their academic and social goals.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience working with K-4 elementary students Familiarity with both push-in and pull-out service models Strong collaboration skills for partnering with general and special education colleagues Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Compassion, adaptability, and a problem-solving mindset
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver special education services to K-4 students, using push-in and pull-out methods based on student needs Develop and monitor IEPs, ensuring goals are measurable and progress is tracked regularly Collaborate with classroom teachers to support the integration of accommodations and modifications Maintain open communication with families regarding student progress and strategies for support Participate in student progress meetings, annual reviews, and eligibility conferences as required Adapt curriculum and instructional methods to accommodate diverse learning needs Maintain required documentation and comply with all district, state, and federal guidelines This full-time, contract opportunity is ideal for an educator seeking to make a measurable difference for students at the elementary level.
