Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification Prior experience teaching at the elementary level, especially grades 3 or 4 In-depth understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Strong ability to modify curriculum and differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver effective, individualized lessons for a group of 15-20 students in grades 3 and 4 Develop, review, and update IEPs in collaboration with parents, general education teachers, and specialists Track student progress toward educational goals and communicate updates regularly Use assessment data to guide instruction and provide targeted academic/behavioral interventions Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities Support a positive classroom climate where every student feels empowered and respected
