Aug 19, 2026 Job Description Addison Northwest School District is seeking a 1.0 FTE certified Special Educator to support students with a variety of special needs. Experience integrating K-8 students with emotional/behavioral challenges into classroom life. Social/sensory skills are a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following, and other duties may be assigned. Have the ability to work with both general and special educators to instruct and support students with multiple disabilities. Must have the ability to develop, modify and accommodate curriculum to address the needs of students with a variety of developmental challenges. The ability to implement modified curriculum within the classroom setting as well as in a pull out setting. The ability to follow a behavioral plan as needed for students' success within the mainstream setting. A strong background in both literacy and math instruction at the early grades and ages. Have the ability to be flexible and be a team player. Strong communication skills both oral and written are a must. Ability to supervise and effectively schedule paraeducators
