Qualifications and Experience:
Current VT Special Education Teacher certification required; applications also considered if certification is pending Previous experience in a school setting or with middle school-aged students is highly valued Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and compliance Ability to differentiate and adapt instruction for diverse learners Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and interventions to students in a self-contained classroom setting Develop and implement IEPs, tailoring plans to individual student needs and goals Foster a supportive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate closely with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, service providers, and families Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary Maintain accurate records and ensure all required documentation is complete and timely This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting difference in students' lives while working with a committed support network.
