This full-time, onsite opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact helping students develop critical life, vocational, and social skills within a supportive educational setting. You will play a key role in fostering independence and preparing learners for their next stages beyond secondary education.
What were looking for:
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Special Education Teacher, preferably in school-based settings Valid Washington Special Education (SPED) license and ESA certificate; verification required upon application Strong background working with transition-age young adults, ideally within a school district environment Deep understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs), transition planning, and adaptive curriculum strategies Ability to thrive in collaborative, dynamic, and culturally diverse environments Clear communication and organizational skills to manage documentation and liaise with staff, families, and service agencies Willingness to complete the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) adjudication process (may add up to one week to onboarding) Availability for a full-time schedule, 37.5 hours weekly, onsite only Role highlights: Deliver comprehensive instruction and develop transition-focused curriculum for students aged 1822 Assess individual learning needs and track IEP goal progress Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement transition plans Guide and mentor students as they acquire skills for independence, employment, and community participation Maintain compliance with all program, state, and federal requirements If you are a dedicated professional ready to contribute your mid-career expertise to a specialized classroom environment, we want to hear from you!
