Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the classroom by supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a full-time contract role. This position is based in a thriving elementary school, focusing on the LRC1 caseload, with immediate placement available through June 2027. As a valued educator, you will provide targeted instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, working collaboratively with families and staff to foster academic and social success.
Key Qualifications:
Current Washington State Special Education Teaching License and Certification (required) Willingness to undergo or current possession of fingerprint clearance through OSPI Previous experience or passion for working with elementary-level students in a resource classroom setting Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with educators, families, and specialists Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom environment where all students can thrive
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction and support tailored to individual student IEPs within a resource room format (LRC1) Develop and implement lesson plans that meet both academic and behavioral goals for each student Monitor and document student progress, participating in IEP meetings and collaborating on individualized strategies Adapt materials and modify curriculum to meet diverse student learning styles and needs Communicate regularly with families and interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support and growth This is a rewarding opportunity for dedicated special education professionals to make a lasting difference in a supportive school community.
