Key Qualifications:
Valid Washington State SPED license & ESA certificate (verification required) Minimum 5 years experience in special education, preferably in school settings Demonstrated commitment to transition-aged students (18-22) Strong ability to thrive independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Preparedness for possible BIE adjudication process and prompt availability for credentialing
Core Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, individualized instruction for ages 18-22 in a transition classroom Develop and implement IEPs focused on life skills, independence, and community integration Collaborate with families, local agencies, and support staff to maximize student outcomes Maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines, documentation, and reporting Play a vital role in preparing students for successful post-school transitions
