This opportunity, located near Bonney Lake, WA, focuses on providing consultative services to Pre-K through 8th grade students and collaborating with school teams to ensure accessibility and growth. The assignment begins September 1, 2026, and extends through June 16, 2027.

Qualifications:

Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with TVI (Teacher of the Visually Impaired) endorsement Experience working with students who are visually impaired, preferably in a school or educational setting Comfortable providing consultation on accommodations, instructional strategies, and accessible materials for educators and families Strong organizational skills and flexibility in scheduling Skilled in communicating effectively with multidisciplinary teams, staff, and parents

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver consultative services for Pre-K to 8th grade students, ensuring educational accessibility and inclusion Provide monthly 30-minute consultations, plus an additional 30 minutes three times throughout the school year, fitting within agreed-upon timeframes Collaborate with classroom educators, administrators, and support staff to develop and adapt instructional materials Recommend assistive technology, classroom modifications, and strategies tailored to individual student needs Participate in team meetings to support student learning plans and monitor progress Serve as a resource for staff training and family education regarding visual impairment What to
