PAY RANGE
Commensurate with experience and 2026-2027 CEA Salary Schedule The job description is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and requirements of the job change.

General Responsibilities:
Each teacher assumes responsibility for the education of students assigned to them in accordance with the district Mission Statement.
Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
The teacher: plan, implement, and evaluate courses, classroom instruction, and activity programs consistent with building, tech prep articulation, and adopted district curriculum; manage all additional requirements of a CTE program; Work in collaboration with CTE Director and School Administration. diagnose and prescribe learning and training programs for individual students; understanding of and ability to use various equipment and technology in a lab setting is preferred including troubleshooting skills; provide opportunities for student leadership and work with community advisory committee to further develop the program; possess knowledge of equipment usage and maintenance; follows safe work practices and procedures and ensure safe and proper use of equipment at all times; directs the learning experience of each student through instructional processes tailored to student needs; uses appropriate assessment procedures to evaluate the degree to which each student masters the learning objectives established by the board; maintains records and/or prepares daily reports of student attendance, initiates discipline report procedures as appropriate, prepares student progress reports, and provides such reports to parents/guardians, as requested by the school principal; participates in the planning and evaluation of the instructional program, and interprets the same to parents as necessary; maintains a classroom atmosphere that fosters student learning; professionally handles concerns or complaints; properly and safely uses the materials and equipment provided by the district; develops and maintains cordial working relationships with other district employees; participates in continuing inservice opportunities and reviews publications and professional materials to keep informed of developments in the field of teaching and to improve personal performance; accepts a reasonable amount of responsibilities beyond classroom activities, as requested by the school principal.
Qualifications:
The teacher must: have a valid and appropriate Washington State CTE teaching certificate ; have current immunizations; have a demonstrated ability to communicate and work well with others.

The teacher must demonstrate the following attributes: a helpful, calm, friendly, and polite manner when interacting with students, parents and school staff; the ability to work independently and cooperatively the ability to make reasoned decisions; appropriate discretion concerning students, staff, and confidential or privileged information.
