Key Qualifications:
Valid teaching certification with a Special Education endorsement Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher in a school environment Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual student needs Familiarity with a range of disabilities, learning programs, and assistive technology Commitment to fostering a supportive, diverse, and inclusive learning atmosphere
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families Employ evidence-based instructional methods tailored to student strengths and challenges Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional plans accordingly Create a welcoming and structured classroom environment that encourages participation and growth Maintain thorough, accurate records in compliance with regulatory guidelines Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and other staff to support student success and well-being Participate in school meetings, professional development, and multidisciplinary team planning
