This contract opportunity offers the chance to work as a dedicated 1:1 interpreter/para during the entire school day, providing invaluable assistance in a dynamic environment. The position is available for immediate placement and runs from 7:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., offering consistent daytime hours.

Key Qualifications:

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience interpreting in educational settings Previous work as a paraprofessional or ASL interpreter in schools is highly desired Compassion, reliability, and a student-centered mindset Ability to collaborate with educators to support the students full participation in classroom activities Strong communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Daily Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 ASL interpretation and paraprofessional support for a student throughout the school day Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff Assist with classroom tasks, assignments, and transitions as needed Promote a welcoming atmosphere and encourage student engagement Collaborate with faculty and special education teams to ensure the students academic and social success
