Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary learners as an onsite Special Education Teacher. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a lasting impact in a supportive, collaborative educational environment. You'll work closely with students with a variety of disabilities, providing tailored instruction and interventions that foster growth and access to learning.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Washington State certification as a Special Education Teacher Experience or readiness to work with students with diverse disabilities at the elementary level Strong communication skills and adaptability Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
Design and implement individualized instruction and support strategies for students with varying needs Write and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines Support students' academic, emotional, and behavioral growth in an inclusive classroom environment Work as a collaborative member of the school team, participating in meetings and sharing insights Build strong relationships with families to support student success Maintain detailed records to ensure student progress is tracked and communicated Details to
