Job Description

Make a lasting impact as a Special Education professional in a supportive middle school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to work collaboratively within a dedicated Learning Resource Center team, serving grades 6 through 8.

Key Qualifications:

Active Washington Special Education Teacher Certification or eligibility/willingness to obtain certification Fingerprinting through OSPI required (or willingness to complete) Previous experience with middle school students and diverse learning needs preferred Strong collaboration and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Serve a caseload of approximately 40 middle school students in the Learning Resource Center (LRC) Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state standards Work closely alongside two other LRC teachers to create inclusive, supportive educational experiences Adapt instructional strategies to meet a range of academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs Document student progress and participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences Provide input into program improvements to further student achievement
