9665364-53066 Job Description Make a positive impact on a students educational journey by supporting a 3rd grader as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. This contract opportunity focuses on providing personalized, in-person instructional support one day each week for 20 minutes (with flexible scheduling within school hours of 8am-3pm). The position will span the 2026-2027 academic school year, beginning as soon as possible, and is based near Oconomowoc, WI.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Demonstrated experience working with school-aged children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Ability to engage, encourage, and guide students in developing self-advocacy and communication skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with school staff and families. Commitment to providing instruction in an in-person setting, as remote services will not be considered.
Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted support and instruction tailored to the needs of a 3rd grade student with hearing differences in a welcoming, inclusive setting. Consult with school staff and collaborate with general education teachers to optimize educational strategies and support integration. Conduct ongoing progress monitoring and adapt instructional approaches as needed. Offer recommendations for classroom accommodations and technology to support the student's success. Foster a supportive learning environment that empowers the student both academically and socially.
