This contract opportunity focuses on cross-categorical instruction within middle (grades 6-8) and high school settings, serving students with a variety of mild-to-moderate disabilities including learning disabilities, emotional behavior disorders, and mild intellectual disabilities. Cross-categorical classrooms foster inclusion, allowing students' diverse needs to be met within a supportive setting.

Two roles are available:

one at the middle school level and one at the high school level.

Qualifications:

Active Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education license (License #2801) required. Demonstrated experience working with students on the autism spectrum. Commitment to building a positive and inclusive classroom community. Strong collaboration skills, especially for coordination with general education, related service providers, and families. Ability to implement varied instructional strategies and adapt to students' individual learning needs.

Your Responsibilities:

Deliver differentiated instruction and behavioral supports to ensure student success across a variety of exceptionalities. Prepare and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and track student progress toward academic and behavioral goals. Maintain clear communication with staff, administration, and caregivers. Foster a respectful, engaging, and safe classroom atmosphere. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support holistic student development. Comply with district and state documentation requirements. This opportunity covers the upcoming academic year, starting August 18, 2026, and concluding June 10, 2027.
