9682905-54162 Job Description Step into an opportunity to make a meaningful difference as a Special Education Teacher working with a small caseload of students in grades 6 through 12. This contract position supports students with diverse needs, providing dedicated instruction and facilitating their academic and personal growth in a collaborative and dynamic school setting. The assignment begins as soon as possible, offering an immediate start in a supportive educational environment.
Qualifications:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Experience working with middle and high school students is highly preferred Strong knowledge of IEP development and implementation Ability to adapt instructional materials and strategies to accommodate diverse learning needs Excellent communication and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere
Responsibilities:
Teach and support a caseload of 9 students in grades 6-12, ensuring individualized instruction and progress monitoring Develop, implement, and update IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families Utilize differentiated instruction to address unique learning styles and abilities Work alongside general education teachers and support staff to promote student success Maintain accurate records related to student assessment, progress, and compliance requirements Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication with parents and guardians This role offers you the chance to make a direct impact on the lives of students, working with a manageable caseload and collaborating with dedicated professionals.
