9665364-53094 Job Description Step into a rewarding role supporting a vibrant third-grade student as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing. This contract opportunity offers the chance to make a direct and meaningful impact, working 1x per week for 20 minutes at a conveniently located school campus near Watertown, WI.
Flexibility is built-in:
coordinate your day and time within the schools regular hours (8 am 3 pm), allowing you to create a schedule that works for you. Your expertise will shape a supportive, accessible, and engaging learning environment for a dedicated student throughout the 2026-2027 academic year, with the need to begin as soon as possible. This role is exclusively in-person, ensuring hands-on connection and the most effective teaching experience.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid certification/licensure to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Previous experience working in a K-12 setting, preferably with elementary students Proficiency with assistive technologies and strategies that support language development in Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, educators, and families Compassionate, student-centered teaching approach
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized instruction and support to a third-grade student Adapt lesson plans and materials to optimize accessibility Monitor and document students progress and adjust strategies as needed Serve as a resource to classroom teachers and school staff on best practices for supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Foster an inclusive environment where the student can thrive academically and socially If youre passionate about fostering growth and inclusivity for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, this is your chance to make a meaningful difference.
