Members of the elementary school faculty excel at creative problem solving and working with a diverse student body. The long-term substitute will ensure uninterrupted learning for the VCES students in their classroom. The successful candidate will be deeply committed to their Christian faith, have teaching experience, and a bachelor's degree, along with a passion and joy for teaching elementary school students. Position Profile Responsibilities Follow lesson plans provided by the Teacher Manage the classroom effectively to ensure students stay on task Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of students Supervise students in and out of the classroom Provide in-class and at-home assignments based on the available lesson plan • Model an exemplary Christian walk in speech and acts The preferred candidate will: BA/BS degree required Education or related major preferred Passion for working with elementary school-aged children Experience working in an educational setting preferred Active membership/attendance at a Protestant Christian church (preferably CRC or RCA denomination) is required. Teach courses from a biblical worldview with his/her faith woven through lessons and teaching Supports the Mission and Doctrinal Statement of Valley Christian Schools A bachelor's degree is required; teaching certification is preferred. Applicants must profess faith in Jesus Christ and be active members of a local Protestant Christian church community (CRC or RCA denomination preferred).
