In this energetic role, you will bring your passion for yoga and wellness to diverse groups, inspiring members to achieve their health goals through engaging, safe, and effective exercise routines. As a substitute instructor, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise across various yoga styles and fitness disciplines, ensuring members receive top-quality instruction even on short notice. This paid position offers flexibility and the chance to make a positive impact on our vibrant community's well-being. Responsibilities Lead scheduled yoga classes as needed, following the class format and level listed on the schedule Offer clear cues, demonstrations, and modifications for varying abilities, injuries, and limitations Keep participants safe by monitoring alignment and encouraging them to work within their limits Create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere that keeps members engaged and coming back Arrive on time, start and end classes promptly, and leave the studio and equipment clean and organized Communicate with fitness center staff about availability, class attendance, and any incidents or concerns Qualifications Current yoga teaching certification (RYT-200 or equivalent) Experience teaching group yoga classes, preferably in a gym or fitness center setting Current CPR/AED certification (First Aid preferred) Ability to adapt quickly to different class styles, levels, and group sizes Dependable, punctual, and responsive to sub requests, sometimes on short notice Additional certifications (Pilates, group fitness, etc.) are a plus This role is perfect for passionate fitness professionals eager to inspire others while expanding their teaching repertoire in a supportive environment.
