Substitute Summary:
Middle School Teachers are responsible for instructing students in grades 6-8. They create lesson plans and a well-rounded, comprehensive instructional program. This assignment lasts from approximately September 21, 2026 to December 17, 2026.Primary Responsibilities:
Plan and provide high quality instruction Implementing curriculum and instructions that align to the Colorado Academic Standards Monitor and evaluate student progress Prepare educational records and reports Analyze student data and differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs Conduct classroom and standardized assessments to measure student growth Teach extended learning opportunity mini-courses Any and all other duties as assignedRequirements:
Minimum of a 1 year substitute teaching license from the Colorado Department of Education, or ability to obtain one, is required. Bachelor's Degree with a teaching certification is preferred, but not required Endorsement, certification, degree, passing PRAXIS score, or being highly qualified in area of instruction is preferred, but not requiredSalary and Benefits:
The substitute rate is $140 per day. The district offers substitutes leave at the rate of 1 hour per every 30 hours worked under the Healthy Families and Workplaces Act (HFWA). Substitutes are enrolled in a PERA retirement plan and have the an option to enroll in a supplemental 401(k) plan. The district provides health insurance benefits including dental and vision, PERA retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability, an optional supplemental 401(k) plan, an employee assistance plan.Application:
