GUEST TEACHER
(SUBSTITUTE TEACHER) District Wide Make a Difference. Stay Flexible. Guest Teachers play a vital role in ensuring learning continues when classroom teachers are absent. This flexible position allows you to choose when and where you work while supporting students in a positive and engaging learning environment. Training and ongoing support are provided.
HIRING SALARY RANGE

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides instructional support aligned with district learner outcomes and state standards. Supervises students, maintains a positive learning environment, and implements lesson plans to support continued student learning. Builds positive relationships with students, staff, and the school community.

Chief Human Resources Officer or designee; Principal and/or Assistant Principal
ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS
Implement lesson plans and schedules provided by the regular classroom teacher Supervise students and promote positive behavior expectations Maintain a safe, structured, and productive learning environment Assess student work when appropriate Provide a summary of the day's activities for the regular teacher Maintain confidentiality and security of student information Follow all district and school policies and procedures Use the Substitute Absence Management system (Red Rover) to accept and manage assignments Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Colorado Teaching License or Substitute Authorization required
HOW TO BECOME A GUEST TEACHER
Step 1: Apply Online Submit your Guest Teacher application. Step 2: Interview Selected candidates will be invited to participate in a phone interview. Step 3: Accept an Offer Qualified candidates will receive and accept an offer of employment. Step 4: Licensure / Authorization (if needed) Guest Teachers must hold a valid Colorado Teaching License or Substitute Authorization issued by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE).
FINGERPRINTING & BACKGROUND CHECK
Fingerprinting is required to obtain a Colorado Substitute Authorization. Applicants are responsible for all fingerprinting fees. No reimbursements will be issued.
Fingerprinting Steps:
Visit the Colorado Fingerprinting website Select "No" for Billing Code Choose "CO Licensure/Employment CABS"
Enter:
ED-CDE Educator Licensing Act-22-60 5-103
Enter CBI Unique Code:
1134ETPI Select an Enrollment Center (Copy Plus in Eagle recommended) Complete pre-enrollment and attend your appointment Appointments include ID verification, fingerprint capture, photo, and signature collection. Results are submitted directly to CDE If prints are rejected (rare), you will be notified to reschedule at no cost
IMPORTANT
If fingerprinting is not completed within 30 days of submitting your license application, the application will expire and must be resubmitted with an additional fee.
