Our school provides a Christ-centered environment of academic excellence where students are encouraged to grow academically, spiritually, and personally while reaching their God-given potential. As a substitute teacher, you will have the opportunity to step into different classrooms and help provide a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. What You'll Do Follow classroom lesson plans and curriculum provided by the classroom teacher. Create a positive, engaging, and fun learning environment. Provide instruction and support to students throughout the school day. Maintain a safe, orderly, and nurturing classroom environment. Manage classroom behavior and hold students accountable to school and classroom expectations. Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families. Incorporate Christian values and principles into the classroom experience. Encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and a love of learning. Communicate important concerns, incidents, or student needs to the appropriate administrator. Complete required documentation when necessary. Follow Bethlehem Lutheran School policies, procedures, and safety expectations. Help prepare and clean up the classroom as needed. Attend required training or meetings. Support the overall mission and community of Bethlehem Lutheran School. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is: A committed Christian who is excited to serve and work with children. Open to feedback, coaching, and continued growth as an educator. Collaborative and willing to jump in wherever needed. Able to serve as a positive Christian role model for students. Experience in education, childcare, or classroom settings is helpful, but we are also interested in individuals who have a passion for working with children and a desire to serve our school community. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Ability to safely and effectively supervise and interact with students ages 4-13. Pay:
